MICHAEL RINEHART'S PHILOSOPHY PAGE

I am a 44-year-old customer service manager for a furniture store in eastern Tennessee.
I am currently living in McMinn County, Tennessee. Prior to that, I lived in west Knox County in Tennessee and for over three years in Lenoir City, about 15 miles southwest of Knoxville. I also lived in Philadelphia, Tennessee, for a short time. I am originally from Decatur, about 48 miles northeast of Chattanooga.

I hold degrees from Tennessee Wesleyan College (B.S. in mathematics, 1986 magna cum laude) and from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (B.S. in secondary education, 1990 cum laude).

After graduation, I worked as a substitute teacher for about five years. Also during that time I worked as a clerk-word processor at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant near Spring City, Tennessee, and for about 3 1/2 years I worked at Kmart in Athens, Tennessee.

I have worked at my current location for about thirteen years. During that time the store, Greer's, which has been in business since 1890, has grown from one store to four as has since contracted back to one.
